At Sporting Minnesota, we believe futsal is the ultimate tool for sharpening your first touch, mastering 1v1 situations, and accelerating your decision-making and speed of play across the board.

Futsal challenges players to step outside their comfort zones and unleash their creativity. It pushes quick thinking, bold moves, and smart risks. The result? Dynamic, confident players who aren’t afraid to take the game into their own hands

Studies show that futsal players get up to 600% more touches on the ball compared to traditional soccer players. This constant contact builds sharper control, stronger confidence on the ball, and encourages players to take on defenders 1v1 when the moment calls for it.

Futsal is the perfect complement to soccer for any athlete striving to unlock their full potential and elevate their game.

What Makes Us Different

Who Can Join:
Open to players ages U8 through U16 who are eager to train in:
a) one of the top research-backed futsal programs in the country
b) a supportive, challenging, and competitive atmosphere
c) an environment focused on high-level performance
d) a culture that values hard work, learning, and perseverance.

Team Selection:
All interested players must attend a free tryout. Those chosen for the Sporting Futsal Academy (Winter Program) will be part of a proven training system and compete in national-level events (tournament style). Team development is led by our technical director and supported by internationally experienced coaches.

Season Details:
Running from November through March, the program includes:

Weekly 1-hour training sessions
Scrimmages and friendly matches
Entry into local, regional, and (if qualified) national tournaments
Entry into Futsal League
Video analysis

This program is built on a foundation of quality and player development. Uniforms are not included but are a low additional cost.

Financial Assistance:
Players who qualify for free or reduced lunch through their school district are eligible for financial aid. Please reach out to us for details.
